unused Bottomless canyons of deep and penetrating reverberation. Music for Tibetan rituals performed among dark caverns, spectral landscapes, desolate ruins. Where is this other Earth and how can I get there?

about

‘Music from Another Earth’ was inspired by a long dream I had in 2013. It took in a shopping mall that acted as a portal between two Earth’s. This one here we live in and an alternative that was philosophically based on Tibetan culture.

One part of the dream involved various odd jazz groups and ensembles of various styles performing live. I was given a stack of CD’s and DVD’s along with playback deices with the instructions to reverse engineer these things so they could play in our Earth space. I was also given a East Indian Chanter type of instrument that also had a holographic interface that twisted and extended the natural sound into unknown territory.

I documented this dream in some detail at the time and still clearly recall some of the sounds I heard there, This collection of releases is my attempt to create the ‘feeling’ from these groups, the actual sound is beyond my abilities.

This is the most unusual music I have made. Perhaps not the strangest sounding but by far the most unique approach. I did not play a note on this. A complex software based modular system was set up that once set in motion self generated all these sounds here. What I did was lots of editing and I chose the sounds used. I felt like I was just the messenger for this project.
